Top
vocalist....radiating warmth and enthusiasm!
Dirk

She's
great, man. Aside from being a naturally good singer, I think what
I like most about Cat is the fact that she is a participant in the
music. A lot of singers sing well, but they're very premeditated,
and as an accompanist, you just follow them around. Cat is more
like a musician playing in the rhythm section; or a horn player.
The only people I've encountered that with are Carmen McRae and
Sarah Vaughan.

Although
having first met Cat in a social setting I was totally blown away while
listening to her incredible interpretations of great jazz standards on
the CD The Journey Cat is right up there with the best female jazzsingers
of all-time who continue to keep The Great American Songbook flame burning.

Whether
melting your heart with a sultry ballad, or swinging the house down, her
rich tone and magnetic stage presence are sure to make you a life-long
fan. She did me!
