Top vocalist....radiating warmth and enthusiasm!
Dirk Sutro, Los Angeles Times

She's great, man. Aside from being a naturally good singer, I think what I like most about Cat is the fact that she is a participant in the music. A lot of singers sing well, but they're very premeditated, and as an accompanist, you just follow them around. Cat is more like a musician playing in the rhythm section; or a horn player. The only people I've encountered that with are Carmen McRae and Sarah Vaughan.

Although having first met Cat in a social setting I was totally blown away while listening to her incredible interpretations of great jazz standards on the CD The Journey – Cat is right up there with the best female jazzsingers of all-time who continue to keep The Great American Songbook flame burning.

Whether melting your heart with a sultry ballad, or swinging the house down, her rich tone and magnetic stage presence are sure to make you a life-long fan. She did me!
